THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operator to work as an Extractor Operator. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Extractor Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently extracting modules while maintaining a consistent flow of production. WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Demonstrate full knowledge of extractor operations, including use of the HMI operator panel
- Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of the extractor pit area
- Safely and accurately extract modules using the overhead crane
- Execute air procedures to manually remove mandrels from modules
- Monitor walking beams to ensure proper movement and successful mandrel transfer
- Report all equipment-related issues promptly to the Production Supervisor
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of materials required to perform job duties
- Support the training and cross-training of production team members
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives
- Comply with all safety procedures and PPE requirements by maintaining a clean, safe work environment and adhering to all company policies, as well as Provincial and Federal regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU BRING
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment; prior machine operation experience preferred
- Overhead Crane Certification is required (crane extraction)
Physical Requirements The physical requirements listed below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, equipment, and tools.
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and occasional kneeling or crouching, as required.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely in the assigned work environment.

- Hot & humid areas within the plant
- Physically demanding tasks
- Interaction with heavy machinery, moving equipment and limited movement of chemicals within the production area.
