Paws Up is seeking a Hostess-Host to add to our team. G reet and engage guests while coordinating guest reservations on OpenTable and responding to inquiries in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all The Resort at Paws Up policies.

This position starts at $18 an hour and goes up from there depending on experience.

The Primary Functions are:

  • Greet our guests upon arrival to our space by opening the door for them, introduce yourself and address the party by their surname (if-known) or acquire guest name and number in their party

  • Guide our guests to their table, pre-set for the number in the party and according to guest preferences

  • When appropriate, offer to check coats

  • When appropriate for service, offer our guests sparkling/still water to start their service

  • When appropriate for service, clear all non-used settings

  • When appropriate for service, introduce the server/SA responsible for the table

  • Set up and maintain a clean host/hostess stand

  • Act promptly to all guest and manager requests

  • Help prepare dining room for service and assist service when appropriate

  • Ensure menus are clean and up to date

  • Report table status & reservations to kitchen and restaurant manager including daily cover counts

  • Compliment our guests when departing, call a ride for them if necessary, thank them and smile

  • Walk guests to the door when appropriate for service

Looking for Team Members with:

  • High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work

  • Preferably 6 months of food & beverage experience, preferably in fine dining or a resort

  • Knowledge of world class hospitality and service

  • Valid Food Handler’s License

  • Valid State Driver’s License

  • Proficient ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and prioritizing workload throughout the day

  • Has a friendly and professional manner under periods of high demands and with guest, team members, and management
