Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing packaging equipment to ensure maximum uptime and production efficiency. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with automated manufacturing systems and a strong mechanical aptitude combined with troubleshooting expertise.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on high-speed packaging equipment.

• Troubleshoot and repair automated production line machinery to minimize downtime.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation-related equipment issues.

• Maintain and repair servo-driven systems, motors, encoders, HMIs, and automated controls.

• Perform machine setup, calibration, changeovers, disassembly, and reassembly.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and efficiency.

• Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status to operations and leadership teams.

Essential Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills on high-speed production equipment.

• Experience with automation systems, including servo motors and drives, HMIs, and electronic timing systems.

• Knowledge of machine synchronization and timing adjustments.

• Proficiency with encoders/end coders and rotating motors.

• 2-5 years of maintenance experience.

• Experience with automation machinery/timed machinery.

• Mechanical aptitude and heavy troubleshooting experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $66500.00 - $72800.00/yr.
