Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing packaging equipment to ensure maximum uptime and production efficiency. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with automated manufacturing systems and a strong mechanical aptitude combined with troubleshooting expertise.
Responsibilities

Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on high-speed packaging equipment.

Troubleshoot and repair automated production line machinery to minimize downtime.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation-related equipment issues.

Maintain and repair servo-driven systems, motors, encoders, HMIs, and automated controls.

Perform machine setup, calibration, changeovers, disassembly, and reassembly.

Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and efficiency.

Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status to operations and leadership teams.
Essential Skills
-
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills on high-speed production equipment.

Experience with automation systems, including servo motors and drives, HMIs, and electronic timing systems.

Knowledge of machine synchronization and timing adjustments.

Proficiency with encoders/end coders and rotating motors.

2-5 years of maintenance experience.

Experience with automation machinery/timed machinery.

Mechanical aptitude and heavy troubleshooting experience.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66500.00 - $72800.00/yr.
