Full job description

Our client, a leading organization in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, is seeking a Chemist 2nd shift to join their team. As a Chemist 2nd shift, you will be part of the Quality Control Department supporting laboratory testing and analysis. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Chemist 2nd shift

Location: San Fernando, CA

Pay Range:$ 28/hr – $38/hr

Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

What's the Job?

  • Performs testing and analysis of raw materials, intermediate, and bulk products to determine identity, purity, quality, strength, and composition.

  • Supports peer data review and investigational testing as needed, performing assigned test methods independently with limited oversight.

  • Provides onsite testing, troubleshooting, and lab support during assigned work shift with effective communication to team members.

  • Performs physical, chemical, and instrumental testing on raw materials, bulk, and finished products to support QC release, investigations, and development studies.

  • Documents all raw data and results accurately in Lab notebooks and submits reports per Pharmavite Standard Methods (PSMs).

What's Needed?

  • A four-year college or university degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, or related science.

  • Basic knowledge of chemistry and analytical chemistry laboratory operations.

  • Proficiency with laboratory equipment such as auto titrators, balances, UV, FTIR, HPLC, GC, and ICP.

  • Proficient in data entry and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to prioritize workload while meeting deadlines and communicate clearly and proactively.
