PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Essential Functions

  • Performs inspections on product in process on the manufacturing floor using the CMM.

  • Assists with gage R&R studies.

  • Performs capability studies.

  • Supports and participates in continuous improvement projects.

  • Fills out and submits Inspection Reports.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Print reading skills.

  • Must be able to read and understand technical English.

  • Must have knowledge of the following:

  • Metric measurements

  • GD&T

  • Corrective and Preventive Actions

  • Layout Inspection

  • Continuous Improvement

  • PPAP

  • High School diploma or GED

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Hexagon Scanning Arm experience a big plus.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Understanding in Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9000, IATF 16949, etc.

  • Experience and understanding with CMM.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to adapt to work in a fluid environment with changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage time well.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must wear steel toe shoes, ear plugs, and safety glasses at ALL times on the production floor, hard hats and cut-proof sleeves required in certain areas.

  • Continuous mental and visual attention is required

  • Requires constant alertness and attention to detail of correct product shipped and the count quantity

  • Work involves likelihood of irregularity of work schedule to meet customer demand

  • Performing these duties will involve lifting, pulling, or pushing physical objects; standing, stooping and bending, walking and standing for long periods of time

  • Working in hot, cold, noisy work areas and being exposed to odors, fumes, and dust

  • Must be able to constantly sustain exertion and lifting of parts ranging from 0-75 lbs.
