Full job description

Summary

The office nurse acts as a liaison between physicians, extenders, patients, and hospitals. An individual in this position is accountable for assuring delivery of quality nursing care for the designated patients in accordance with the individual patients needs, physicians' orders, PHS policies, and standards of practice via telephone and/or in direct contact. Responsible for working collaboratively with management, physician, and coworkers to provide excellent service to our patients. Maintains confidentiality of information regarding patients, significant others and all healthcare team members.

Education

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Licensure/Certification

Must hold a current licensure in the state in which you practice. CPR certification required. ACLS certification preferred.

Experience

2 years experience in a medical setting required-specialty preferred.

Other Qualifications

Medical terminology and pharmacology background recommended. Essential computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records recommended. Good verbal and written communication skills required.
