Job Title: Production Machine Operator

Job Description

Join a collaborative, team-oriented manufacturing environment supporting the construction industry. As a General Production Worker, you will play a hands-on role preparing and assembling steel materials used in large-scale construction projects. This position involves operating production machinery, rotating through multiple tasks, and working safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cut, and process steel materials used in construction assemblies.

  • Operate machinery and production equipment with provided training.

  • Rotate between production tasks to support workflow and team efficiency.

  • Work closely with teammates to meet production and quality standards.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in production or manufacturing roles is preferred.

  • Ability to perform fast-paced, physically demanding work.

  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.

  • Familiarity with machine operation and assembly tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with shear, press machine, and saw operation.

  • Experience in construction, framing, carpentry, yard work, or site cleanup.

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure.

Work Environment

The work is conducted in a non-climate controlled manufacturing facility, which can become very hot during the summer. The role involves a 2nd shift schedule, with training provided on the 1st shift for approximately 1–4 weeks. The 2nd shift hours are 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM Monday-Thursday and 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM on Friday. Shift differential of +$2/hour is provided for off-shift work. Flexibility is required, with mandated overtime posted the Thursday prior. Occasional Saturday work and availability for overtime hours from 3 PM - 2:30 AM are necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.
