Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, maintaining financial records, and assisting with financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments.

  • Perform monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.

  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.

  • Analyze financial data and investigate account discrepancies.

  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records.

  • Prepare supporting schedules for audits and tax filings.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and internal controls.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiencies.

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and special projects.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.

  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
