The Opportunity: 

We are currently building a talent pool for future Operations opportunities across Engineer to Lead levels within our team. This is an opportunity to be considered for upcoming roles and contribute to shaping the future of Sysco’s customer experience from the ground up.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead a group of operations engineers responsible for 24x7 monitoring of Sysco global infrastructure and applications .

  • Act as an escalation point for L2 engineers.

  • Manage individual and shift performance to consistently meet performance standards

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to SLA .

  • Work with stakeholders to introduce new initiatives .

  • Manage the training, development, and retention of team members .

  • Influence and improve upon existing processes through innovation and operational changes

  • Provide information and tactical recommendations to leadership during incidents .

  • Conduct regular 1:1 briefing with direct reports and assign responsibilities and focus on their performance improvements and career developments .

  • Desire to learn and develop all necessary technical skills .

  • Contribute to improving operational maturity, documentation, and processes.

  • Share knowledge across cross functional teams.

Requirements :

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.

  • For Operations Engineer 1-2 Years, Senior Operations Engineer 2-4 Years, Associate Operations Lead 4-6 Years and Operations Lead 6-8 Years of experience in similar background.

  • Willing to work in a 24x7x365 environment covering multiple time zones.

  • Excellent ability to learn and articulate software-related and technical concepts.

  • Solid hands-on experience in ITSM standards, ITIL certification will be an added advantage.

  • Solid hands-on exper ience on MDM tools, Vulnerability management tools

  • Exposure to support in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP.

  • Sound knowledge and experience in Windows server / UNIX platforms.

  • Sound knowledge and experience in computer networks including LAN/WAN, DHCP, TCP/IP, Firewalls, and Routing.

  • A dynamic personality with a good balance of technical abilities and strong communication skills ( English) and teamwork .

  • Experience in the areas of technical support/systems administration will be a key advantage.

  • Experience in working with monitoring platforms like Datadog, AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor.

  • Experience with automation tools or scripting.

  • Agile methodology practices will be an added advantage.
