UnityPoint Health – Sioux City delivers a broad range of advanced healthcare services to residents across Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. Through our two hospitals, UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s and UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s – Downtown, as well as the June E. Nylen Cancer Center, we provide comprehensive, compassionate care close to home. Additionally, UnityPoint Health PACE Senior Care – Siouxland supports older adults with coordinated access to healthcare and social services, including rehabilitation, medication management, transportation and more.
Responsibilities

Provide overnight ICU coverage
-
7on/7off with 12-hour shifts, 7p-7a
-
Full-time position: 152 shifts per year
-
Primary work location: Downtown Campus, but also provide coverage at North Campus when needed
-
Average 7-8 patients per 12 hour midnight shift
-
Excellent work/life balance with flexible scheduling

Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care

Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment

Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
-
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
-
Board Certified
-
1 year minimum experience as critical care provider
-
ATLS & ACLS required
-
Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
-
Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
-
Eligible to work in the United States
