Full job description

Who we are About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career. About the team The Stripe Workplace team creates and operates inspiring, comfortable, and innovative spaces that bring Stripe’s culture and values to life and provide a foundation for achieving our mission. In this role, you will be part of the team that supports and builds food programs worldwide, from our food philosophy and safety standards to our vendor management and feedback systems. Our team is strategically distributed across all regions but operating as one cohesive unit that shares ownership of our entire global portfolio. To further strengthen our ability to provide real-time partnership across all time zones, we are looking for a leader as a Food Experience Manager to join us. This role reports to the Global Head of Food, and is based in South San Francisco.

What you’ll do As a Food Experience Manager, you will be a key architect of our global food programs, based in our Oyster Point Headquarters, but with a worldwide impact. Responsibilities

  • Global Program Builder: You will take the lead in designing, building, and documenting our scalable, global "playbooks" for core operational functions (e.g., vendor QBRs, new site launches, budget management).
  • Drive Global Program Execution: You will be responsible for the successful execution of our global standards across a fluid portfolio of offices, which may span multiple regions. Your role is to ensure consistency, compliance, and high performance, regardless of location.
  • Synthesize Global Data: You will analyze user feedback and operational data from across our entire global portfolio to identify systemic trends, risks, and opportunities, transforming that data into actionable business intelligence for the whole team.
  • Lead High-Stakes Vendor Partnerships: You will manage the relationship and performance of our strategic food service partner(s), ensuring strict adherence to our Statements of Work (SOWs) and leading rigorous Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Advise on Global Growth: As a direct partner to the Global Head of Food, you will serve as a strategic advisor for all new office builds and expansions, providing expert input on design and operational readiness, no matter the location.
  • Developing communication strategies: Lead program change by developing adoption plans, training, and communication strategies that drive consistent execution across regions.

Who you are We’re looking for someone who is passionate about food and hospitality but thinks like a systems architect for a global product. While deep hospitality experience is a plus, we are excited to consider exceptional candidates from diverse operational backgrounds, including tech, logistics, or high-end retail, who have a proven track record of building scalable, user-obsessed systems.

  • You are an expert in creating world-class customer experiences and are obsessed with using scalable, data-driven systems to deliver them consistently across cultures.
  • You have a proven track record of managing complex, multi-unit or multi-regional operations, and have experience building a single, consistent standard and deploying it across a diverse portfolio.
  • You are deeply analytical and data-fluent, able to synthesize disparate data sets from multiple regions into a single, cohesive strategic narrative.
  • You are a "first-principles" thinker who is energized by questioning industry conventions and building something new.
  • You are a natural stakeholder manager, able to partner effectively with cross-functional teams like Real Estate, Finance, and Legal to influence outcomes.
  • You have direct experience managing high-stakes third-party vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and performance management.

Minimum requirements

  • 8+ years of leadership experience building and scaling complex, customer-facing operations (e.g., in the food & beverage, high-end retail, or tech industries).
  • Direct experience in concept development, multi-unit operations, or scaling a service-oriented business.
  • Demonstrable experience managing a P&L and using data to drive business decisions.

In-office expectations Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

Pay and benefits The annual US base salary range for this role is $96,000 - $144,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process. Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
