Assembly Operator – 1st Shift

Location: Fairview, NC

Shift: 1st Shift (7:00am – 3:30pm)

Pay Rate: $17.61/hour

Status: Temp-to-Hire

Our Client is a global leader in manufacturing Relays and Switches for the Aerospace industry. We are seeking motivated candidates for the position of Assembly Operator I at our Fairview, NC facility. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with opportunities for career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble components according to detailed work instructions and drawings.

  • Use microscopes, small hand tools, and fixtures for precise assembly tasks.

  • Understand and inspect products using quality standards and measurement devices (such as calipers and gauges).

  • Perform pull tests and troubleshoot minor equipment issues as needed.

  • Complete required operational paperwork to ensure product traceability.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company’s EH&S policies.

  • Follow all company and departmental guidelines, policies, and safety procedures.

  • Support production goals by being available for overtime when required.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Minimum of one year’s experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Basic computer skills and the ability to interpret blueprints are highly desirable.

  • Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to multitask.

  • Experience with measuring devices (e.g., calipers, gauges) preferred.

  • Physically able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds and operate necessary machinery.

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and move between work zones as needed.

  • Proficiency in understanding and following written instructions in English.

Additional Requirements:

This position involves access to information regulated by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.
