We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join a dynamic construction company. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on heavy equipment, including excavators, dump trucks, skid steers, and dozers.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.

• Utilize blueprints and schematics for equipment maintenance and repair tasks.

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed.

• Use and maintain personal tools for equipment repair and maintenance.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of heavy equipment or diesel mechanic experience.

• Proficiency in working with excavators, dump trucks, skid steers, and dozers.

• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.

• Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

• Capability to perform preventive maintenance and repair tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with forklifts, bulldozers, and construction equipment.

• Knowledge of maintenance repair, industrial engines, and transmission systems.

• Experience with equipment maintenance and fabrication.

• Hydraulics knowledge is a plus.

Work Environment

Work primarily takes place at an on-site garage/repair facility or directly on construction sites. This role requires hands-on work with heavy equipment, ensuring a practical and engaging work experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plainville, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
