Summary:

The Senior Accountant plays a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information that supports business decisions. This role owns core accounting processes, partners across the organization, and brings forward insights that help drive performance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Prepare and review complex journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports

  • Own and lead key areas of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close

  • Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide recommendations to leadership

  • Ensure financial reporting is accurate and compliant with accounting standards

  • Research and resolve complex accounting issues and discrepancies

  • Develop, improve, and document accounting processes and internal controls

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support financial analysis and business initiatives

  • Assist external auditors to perform financial audits to ensure accuracy

  • Supports state and local tax compliance, including research, preparation of select filings and coordination with external tax providers

  • Provide guidance, training, or review of work for team members

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts across accounting processes

Requirements

Knowledge of GAAP Rules

Job Requirements/Specifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a bachelor's degree in Business with emphasis in Accounting

3-7 years' experience in financial accounting

Proficient in Excel and other accounting software

Excellent written and communication skills

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Consistently Sitting, Working with hands, Working with fingers, working indoors.

Frequently Twisting upper body, Talking, Hearing.
