Full job description

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of full-time business/field construction experience or

  • Associate's Degree and 4 years of full-time business/field construction experience or

  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of full-time business/field construction experience.

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture and 2 years of busines full-time/field construction experience.

Relevant Work Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise field personnel, review field documentation, and oversee construction activities involving company facilities on municipal or agency projects. Required

  • Knowledge of Public Improvement construction, utility interference work, company facilities, and electric, gas, steam, or transmission operations. Required

  • Working knowledge of eFAR/eDAR, MAXIMO/CworX, invoice tracking, field documentation, and payment support processes. Required

  • Ability to interface effectively with municipal agencies, contractors, internal operating groups, engineering, estimating, FP&A, and other stakeholders. Required

  • Strong leadership, communication, documentation, problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills. Required

  • Knowledge of applicable construction safety, environmental, Code 753, permitting, and company procedural requirements. Required

  • Ability to review project scope, layouts, contractor invoices, field quantities, supporting documentation, accruals, appropriations, and RAP funding needs. Required

  • Knowledge of contract administration, invoice resolution, construction inspection, cost control, and field change documentation. Required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and preferred knowledge of MAXIMO/CworX, eFAR/eDAR, PIITS, project tracking systems, ProjectWise, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Microsoft Project, Primavera, and/or Oracle Work Management System. Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • Driver's License Required

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)

  • Stand, walk, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach for the duration of the workday

  • Use personal vehicle(s), and be able to transport, store, and secure company laptops and other job-related equipment in vehicle. Acknowledge that reimbursement for use of personal vehicle is available through the company mileage procedure

Additional Physical Demands

  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
