Part-Time Mold Technician - Weekends PM

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sets upinjection molding machines in anticipation of the molding process, ensuring correct parameters are set for the specific part being molded.

• Setting molds, dies, etc., to conform to scheduled requirements,to includeleaving the workstation clean and organized, with quality parts coming from the process, while minimizing downtime.Clearsthe production line ofpreviousproduct materials, tools, and instructions, preparing it for the new part

• Performs mold cleaning according to schedule and as needed tomaintainoptimalperformance.(he cleans mold, nothing inside)Performsroutine repairs and preventative maintenance on production machinery.

• Troubleshoot and solve minor molding process conditions (short shots, flash, burns, etc.) to ensure quality and prevent non-conformance

• Setupandoperatemolding machinery and support equipment.

• Adjust,maintainandtroubleshootautomated equipment to maximizeutilization.

• Work closely with setup technicians and operators to ensure proper operation of equipment.

• Collaborate with Plant Leadersto stopmoldingprocess due to quality concerns.

• Completes necessary paperworktimelyand accurately. Accuratelyrecordsuse of spare parts to guarantee proper inventory ismaintained.

• Follow setup sheets, record any changes made, and provide suggestions to Process Engineers.

• Train new/currenttechniciansto increase machine knowledge.

• Ensures good housekeeping and organization ofproductionfloor.

• Followsall safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma,GEDor equivalent work experiencerequired.

• Minimum2years relevant manufacturing experience in plastic injection molding environment preferred.

• Minimum2years related basic problem solving and processing skills in relation to injection molding and automation equipment.

• Exposure toscientific injection moldingprocess monitoringmethodologypreferred.

• Understanding of injection molding machine(s) and auxiliary equipment operations and repair preferred.

• Understandingofrobotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and/or electric systems for both relay and solid-state machinerypreferred.

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

• Goodcommunicationboth written and verbal skills.Mustpossessmechanical aptitude and ability to adapt and learn.

• Familiarity with robots.

• Understanding of OSHA requirements (i.e.Lockout/Tagout, Forklift).

• Must be able toworka flexible schedule which includes overtime and weekends.

• Must haveabilityto provide their own basic tools (allenwrenches, socket sets, etc.).

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

• Must be able to stand for full manufacturing shift, ability to reach with arms extended and/or overhead, excellent hand dexterity, ability to bend, stoop,stretchand similar activities

• Ability to accommodate occasional flexibleschedulewhen required.

• Must be able to safelyoperaterequired equipment for performing job functions

Compensation Information:

Pay Transparency

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this role. Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, market level, other job-related factors, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. As applicable this role will also receive overtime compensation and may be eligible for shift premium compensation.

Pay Range:$21 - $33
