Full job description

Job Description

First month will be focused on training- both classroom style training as well as on the job training. Hands on preventative maintenance tasks will begin once training is complete.

  • Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspect of Datacenter activities

  • Work alongside a team of industry professionals across the Information Technology (IT) and Critical Environments (CE) spectrum to support 24x7x365 on-site Datacenter operations and mechanical infrastructures

  • Responsible of mechanical infrastructure post-incident audits and RCAs.

  • Identify, evaluate and propose mitigation/resolution plans to operational risks.

  • Oversee, plan and develop new or update preexisting emergency operating procedures (EOPs), methods of procedure (MOPs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Act as the technical authority for on-site operations of large-scale mechanical (such as cooling, fire and fuel systems) and monitor/control (BAS) systems, designs and projects.

  • Guide, oversee, and support various types of maintenance (e.g., planned, predictive, corrective) and repairs following methods of procedure (MOPs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Be responsible for critical equipment are maintained to statutory and regulatory requirements, manufacturers recommendations and Microsoft internal maintenance standards.

  • Establish and coordinate maintenance & safety procedures, maintaining redundant high-capacity cooling systems, Diesel Generators, UPS systems, Fire systems and secondary backup systems.

  • Have a hands-on understanding of how equipment works and how to troubleshoot equipment, systems, subsystems, and components independently, supervising on-site high-risk activities.

  • Participate in Commissioning processes

Skills and Requirements

  • 3+ years hands on technical engineering experience - strong background in either Mechanical or Electrical

  • Experience performing preventative maintenance tasks and break fix tasks - fans, pumps, valves, cleaning, repairing, replacing...

  • Experience with building maintenance including but not limited to- HVAC, AHU, fire suppression systems, energization/de-energization,

  • Safety first mindset

  • Excellent attitude and eager to learn Previous Data Center experience
