Full job description

Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented Pharmacy Benefits Verification Technician to support members, providers, and insurance carriers by ensuring accurate insurance verification and prescription claims processing. This is an excellent opportunity for a state-licensed and nationally certified Pharmacy Technician who enjoys problem‑solving and working in a collaborative, fast‑paced healthcare environment.

Locations : North Canton, OH | Hybrid, but primarily remote (1-2 days a month if needed)

Pay Rate : $22.50/hour

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 11:30 AM–8:00 PM; occasional Saturdays (9:00 AM–5:00 PM) and overtime as business needs require

What You’ll Do:

  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits through outbound calls and follow‑up communications

  • Resolve prescription and claims issues to ensure timely adjudication

  • Coordinate with Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) services to support accurate billing

  • Assist pharmacists and internal teams with audits and compliance reviews

  • Document all correspondence, escalations, and resolutions in accordance with payer and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Active State Pharmacy Technician license (Ohio )

  • National certification (PTCB or NHA)

  • 1-2+ years of pharmacy experience (retail, mail order, specialty, PBM, or managed care)

  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills

  • Claims adjudication and secondary billing

  • Medicaid and discount card processing

  • PBM or managed care environment
