Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure patients and patient care areas are prepared for examinations and procedures

  • Assist providers with all aspects of direct patient care with training and demonstrated competency as well as other tasks involved in patient care, such as messages, referrals and scanning.

  • Assist provider with office administered injections.

  • Assist patient with Durable Medical Equipment sizing and fitting.

Qualifications:

LPN

  • Must be a licensed LPN in the state of SC

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

  • Medical Assistant certification by AAMA, NHA, AMT or NCCT is required.

  • CMA must be a graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by the National Healthcare Association, or its successor; by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or its successor; by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, or its successor; or by any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. The accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program must include courses in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, medical laboratory techniques, and clinical experience.
