Treasury Analyst Description - Job Summary

  • This role is responsible for providing support to the treasury department, including assisting in treasury operations and escalating issues as needed. The role involves conducting data analysis across various areas of treasury, generating regular reports, and contributing to foundational treasury projects. The role also includes analyzing capital markets, risk management, cash management, and collaborating with internal departments for accurate cash transactions while staying updated on regulatory changes and market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the treasury department in matters concerning treasury operations, escalating issues when required.
  • Conducts data analysis across cash management, foreign exchange, risk management, and treasury services to provide insights.
  • Generates regular reports detailing treasury operations and takes part in a range of foundational treasury projects.
  • Analyzes material and assists in modeling and analysis of matters related to capital markets, interest rate risk management, cash management, forecasting, and collateral management activities.
  • Assists with the preparation of cash flow projections, financial statements, and other financial reports as needed for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stays up to date on changes in regulatory requirements and market conditions that could impact treasury operations and investment strategies.
  • Maintains accurate records of all cash transactions, including daily cash receipts and disbursements.
  • Coordinates with various internal departments to ensure timely processing of invoices, payment requests, and other cash-related transactions.
  • Applies foundational principles and contributes proactively to projects through research and data analysis support, providing regular updates on accomplishments and impediments.
  • Supports priority projects with direction, maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and sharing information via standardized reports.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in finance, audit, accounting, treasury, or a related field.
