Full job description

JOB GOAL: The TVI is to provide direct and/or consultative special education services specific to vision loss. The TVI teacher provides support to students and parents. JOB QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

Hold or be eligible for a minimum of a Level 4- Bachelor's degree and Certification/License required.
Preferred Orientation and Mobility certification
Ability to organize own work, set priorities, and meet critical deadlines.
Ability to differentiate instruction, integrate technology into the curriculum with tiered interventions, and apply student data for instructional planning.
Skilled at collaborative decision-making for individual student and staff growth.
Skilled at working with a diverse group of students with disabilities.
High integrity, excellent character, and good professional reputation.
Abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
Ability to be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
Ability to perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
Vision, hearing, and written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
