Are you a licensed dental hygienist ready to take your skills to an international setting? French Consulting is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to provide comprehensive preventive dental care to U.S. Army service members and their families at military dental clinics across Europe. This position is well-suited for dental hygiene professionals who are mission-driven, adaptable, and eager to be part of a collaborative military dental team abroad.

What You’ll Do

Preventive & Periodontal Care

  • Perform comprehensive dental and periodontal charting, including detailed evaluation of the gingiva and periodontium.

  • Remove biofilm, plaque, and calculus from teeth both coronal and apical to the gingival margin using hand and ultrasonic dental instruments.

  • Apply pit and fissure sealants and polish restorations.

Assessment & Referral

  • Refer patients with abnormalities, including cavities, defective fillings, suspicious growths, or periodontal disease, to the supervising dentist.

  • Perform chairside dental assisting when directed by the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the dental clinic.

Clinic Operations & Documentation

  • Check, maintain, clean, sharpen, and sterilize dental instruments to ensure working condition.

Who You Are

  • You are thorough, patient-focused, and able to deliver quality preventive care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

  • You are adaptable and excited by the prospect of working in an overseas military treatment facility setting.

  • You may be a military spouse, veteran, or someone who values purpose-driven work and the unique opportunities of OCONUS employment.

Qualifications

Education

  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree from a dental hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA).

Licensure

  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Dental Hygienist.

Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in dental hygiene within the past three (3) years.

Language Proficiency

  • Must read, write, and speak English fluently.

Certifications & Credentials

  • Radiography certification.

  • Local anesthesia certification from an ADA CERP-approved course.

  • Current AHA-approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • National Provider Identifier (NPI)-Type 1 (required prior to patient care).
