THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION - NOT A REMOTE WORK POSITION

Job Description:

A Logistics Coordinator will utilize leadership, coaching, and organizational skills to drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost initiatives across multiple factories. This role will be responsible for maintaining the company’s current strengths while focusing on building towards the future. In addition, this role will create a positive work environment though problem resolution, continuous improvement, and rigorous management of shopfloor activities. Employee will improve our scheduling/delivery infrastructure, assist in capital planning, and develop daily and weekly business metrics while ensuring current operational plans are executed. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct and coordinate all shipping, receiving, warehousing, crating, final assembly, and material handling activities.

  • Lead daily logistics operations by assigning work, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely completion of shipping and receiving functions.

  • Ensure customer shipments, intercompany transfers, and aftermarket parts orders are shipped accurately and on schedule.

  • Coordinate inbound deliveries to ensure timely receipt, inspection, and processing of materials.

  • Utilize the ERP system to ensure service orders, shipping transactions, and inventory movements are completed accurately and on time.

  • Partner with the Operations Supervisor to maintain production schedules through effective material movement and shipping coordination.

  • Drive operational excellence by achieving performance goals related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse operations, material flow, shipping processes, and facility layout.

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, freight carriers, transportation providers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners.

  • Monitor freight performance, shipping costs, and carrier performance to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Support cross-functional initiatives with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Finance to improve operational performance.

  • Prepare and maintain shipping documentation and ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations, where applicable.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Position requires 5+ years of manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, or other relevant industrial experience

  • Strong coaching and leadership skills

  • Proven ability to mediate conflict

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate individuals towards team goals

  • Effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Desire to learn all facets of a complex manufacturing and assembly environment

  • High standard to drive results through relationship and culture building

  • Dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow and interpret procedures

  • Able to successfully multitask and meet project milestones

  • Able to proactively communicate with multiple customers on multiple projects

  • Experience with shopfloor safety procedures
