The FASNY Firefighter's Home a premier nursing facility in Hudson, New York is seeking an outgoing individual to join our Activities Department.
About the Role:
The Activities Aide plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by organizing and facilitating engaging recreational and social activities. This position focuses on promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being through creative and inclusive programming tailored to the needs and interests of participants. The Activities Aide collaborates closely with other care staff to ensure activities are safe, enjoyable, and accessible to all. By fostering a positive and supportive environment, the aide helps participants build social connections and maintain an active lifestyle. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall happiness and satisfaction of those served within the community or care facility.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a caregiving, recreational, or supportive role is preferred but not mandatory.

Basic knowledge of safety and emergency procedures.

Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with diverse populations.

Physical ability to assist with activities, including standing for extended periods and light lifting.
Preferred Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
