THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D0878P01 and is part of the LOGISTICS, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. Military Grades: ENLISTED / WARRANT / OFFICER GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. As a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (GS-2003-11), you will plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage all command supply and services functions. Work involves management, direction or administration of a supply program that includes a mixture of technical supply functions or staff managerial or administrative work primarily concerned with analyzing, developing, evaluating, or promoting improvements in the policies, plans, methods, procedures, systems, or techniques of a supply program. Security clearance required: Secret
Education If only using education to qualify for this position: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. or LL.M. or COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education beyond a four year degree in a related field. Graduate Education: Education at the graduate level (above a Bachelor's Degree) in an accredited college or university. You must provide Official Transcripts as documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
