Job Description
In this role, the Senior Business Systems Analyst leads requirements elicitation and stakeholder engagement to define project objectives, clarify business needs, and ensure alignment across functional and technical teams. The analyst translates business requirements into clear functional specifications and actionable deliverables that guide solution design and development. Acting as the primary liaison between business partners and project delivery teams, the role ensures consistent communication, expectation management, and traceability throughout the project lifecycle. The analyst validates requirements against business objectives, supports solution design discussions, and coordinates change control activities to maintain alignment as the project evolves. They also support testing by defining acceptance criteria, facilitating UAT, and ensuring readiness for deployment. Throughout implementation and post‑go‑live stabilization, the analyst provides ongoing business analysis support, identifies risks and dependencies, and communicates recommendations to project leadership to ensure a secure, compliant, and successful rollout of real‑time bank validation capabilities.

Skills and Requirements
Strong experience leading business requirements, elicitation sessions, and cross‑functional alignment.
Ability to translate requirements into functional specifications and technical deliverables.
PeopleSoft Payroll knowledge with hands‑on experience in banking or direct‑deposit validation.
Experience working with banking vendors and understanding of compliance/security considerations.
Strong testing support capability including acceptance criteria development and UAT facilitation.
Risk and dependency identification with clear communication to leadership.
Excellent communication skills and ability to serve as a liaison between business and technical teams. Background supporting enterprise payroll implementations within higher education or public sector environments.
Familiarity with change control processes and requirements traceability tools.
Experience supporting post‑go‑live stabilization for complex systems.
