Job Summary

The Manager, Indirect Procurement and Operations is a manager-level role responsible for leading day-to-day execution across indirect purchasing, COTS purchasing, RMA processing, and invoice processing within the Supply Chain organization. This role provides direct leadership to administrative buyers and support resources, ensures clear ownership of assigned activities, and drives consistent execution across transactional and operational procurement processes. The position is intended to create dedicated management oversight for indirect and administrative purchasing responsibilities, strengthen workload balance across the organization, and support compliance with company procedures and applicable FAR/DFARS requirements within a CPSR environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the team responsible for indirect purchasing, COTS purchasing, RMA processing, and invoice processing activities.

  • Provide day-to-day direction, workload balancing, and priority setting for assigned team members.

  • Establish clear ownership and accountability for indirect and administrative procurement activities across the organization.

  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of procurement transactions, administrative support activities, and related system updates.

  • Support effective processing and resolution of RMA activities, invoice issues, and COTS purchasing requirements.

  • Partner with Procurement, Operations, Finance, Programs, and other internal stakeholders to align priorities and support business needs.

  • Monitor team performance, issue resolution, and adherence to established procurement processes and expectations.

  • Drive process consistency, standard work, and continuous improvement across assigned functional responsibilities.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, FAR/DFARS requirements, and CPSR-related procurement expectations.

  • Escalate resource constraints, operational risks, compliance concerns, and process issues to the appropriate level as needed.

  • Support organizational scalability by providing focused management oversight for transactional and administrative procurement functions.

  • Develop team capability through coaching, performance management, and leadership support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, operations, finance, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.

  • 5+ years of experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.

  • Experience working with FAR/DFARS requirements.

  • Experience working in a CPSR environment.

  • Experience leading procurement, purchasing, or operational support teams in a regulated environment.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

  • Experience working with ERP systems such as Costpoint or similar business systems is preferred.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining responsiveness, accountability, and cross-functional coordination.

Travel Requirement

Up to 25%

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
