This is a temporary 12-month position, beginning on Monday, September 28th, 2026 and ending Sept 24th, 2027
Starting Pay: $20.00 / hour
*Please note that you are not required to know the Choctaw Language to be Language Apprentice.

Primary Tasks:

Work with Master level fluent speakers engaging in face-to-face language immersion activity and instruction

Work in the Choctaw Language learning management system portal completing language curriculum assignments

Participate in department activities with our staff

Instructional coursework as assigned

Other duties as may be assigned by the Director of the School of Choctaw Language.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED.

Choctaw Tribal Member Status

Strong Verbal, Written, and Electronic Communication Skills

The ability to learn how to read, speak, and teach the Choctaw language

Public Speaking Experience Preferred
