Responsibilities
- The Bartender provides resort guests and servers with the highest quality, quick and efficient beverage service.
- Take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs and specialty drinks.
- Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and established Four Seasons Standards.
- The Bartender must maintain and control a high level of guest service achieved by ensuring consistent and thoughtful service.
- Follow the state and city alcohol law while adhering to Four Seasons standards of service.
- The Bartender has a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar and ensures that all the details of service are performed properly
- Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the lounge server using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest’s original order
- The Bartender is also required to perform additional side duties.
- Working knowledge of the Micros system is essential. Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items.
Preferred Qualifications
- We are looking for individuals with excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
- The ideal candidate will have a confident outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request.
- Applicants must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
- The Bartender position requires continuous standing for up to 8 hours a day and requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- 1-2 years experience in a luxury resort
- Fluent English
- Strong commitment to service
- Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States
