Are you passionate about helping others live more independent and fulfilling lives? We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP I) to join our team in Brentwood, CA . In this rewarding role, you'll provide hands-on support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges, helping them develop daily living skills, build confidence, and thrive within their home and community.
This position is based in a 6-bed residential home where you'll play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents through person-centered care and support.
What You'll Do
As a Direct Support Professional, you will:

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care and hygiene

Support individuals in developing adaptive, social, and interpersonal skills

Encourage independence while providing safe, compassionate care

Follow each resident's Individual Service Plan (ISP) to ensure personalized support

Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive living environment
-
Assist with household routines and community engagement activities
-
Observe and report changes in resident behavior or needs to the appropriate team members

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum age of 18 years

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage responsibilities effectively

Commitment to professional standards and quality care

Current CPR certification (if required)

Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulations)

TB Questionnaire, PPD, or Chest X-Ray (if required)

Ability to meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
