Summary This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number NGD0915000 and is part of AASF. This is a Title 32, Dual-Status position. AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: - Members of the South Dakota Army National Guard. Responsibilities As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-7, you will: This position is located in the Aviation Materiel Management Section of an Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF). Its purpose is to provide services in support of inventory control, storage and distribution, cataloging or supply identification systems, property utilization, or other related supply activities including those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems. Manages aviation materials and resource tracking(i.e. Depot Level Repairable (DLR)/Class 9 (CLIX) funds and all other appropriate air and ground budgets), Test Measurement & Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE)/tools management, and Hazardous Material Management. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Enlisted Soldiers up to MSG/E8 are eligible to apply. Military grade inversion within the full-time work force is not permitted. The military grade of the full time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience or training in the KSAs listed below. Experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants are encouraged to submit a separate sheet(s) addressing the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) and how they relate to work experience, education or training. Knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions. Knowledge to conduct extensive and exhaustive searches for required information to reconstruct records for complex supply transactions. Skill to provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Knowledge of all phases of Depot Level Repairable (DLR)/Class 9 (CLIX) repair/repairable items procurement and returns program. Education Additional Information RECRUITMENT INCENTIVE: A recruitment incentive may be offered dependent on budget and agency need. MILITARY INCENTIVES: Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position over 180 days will result in suspension or termination of these military incentives.
