Position Summary

The HAF Division, located in Greensboro, North Carolina, is seeking an experienced Setup Operator to independently set up and operate various manufacturing equipment. Investigate quality problems and conflicts in routing, inspection instructions and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Independently set up and operate various manufacturing equipment.

  • Read blueprints and follow instructions.

  • Produce product in timely manner while following all Quality system requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Capable of proficiency on all types of equipment and setup of equipment used in work cell within 60 days of hire

  • Proficient in all aspects of paperwork for the area within 30 days.

  • Participate in 5S activities per Manager request.

  • Troubleshoot problems as they arise, strong problem-solving skills.

  • Must be able to work overtime when required including weekends.

  • Maintain a safe workplace for self and fellow team members via compliance of safety policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong Math skills – three-digit addition and subtraction, multiple digit multiplication and division. Converting fractions to decimals. Ability to follow formulas for conversions (ex: SF to LF)

  • Ability to work in a team environment, cultivate strong relationships, and demonstrate initiative.

  • Ability to lead Lean events and high-performance teams as required; ability to train team members

▪Ability to use essential computers skills to efficiently complete assignments.
