Overview
The Utility Technician is responsible for supporting facility operations through routine maintenance, cleaning, and operation of utility systems and equipment. This role assists with maintaining a safe, efficient, and functional environment by performing a variety of tasks across multiple building systems and services.
Position Starts: 9/1/2026
Pay: $19.00/hour.
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities

Assist in the operation, maintenance, and repair of utility systems such as water, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical equipment

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on facility systems and equipment
-
Support troubleshooting of basic issues related to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
-
Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical rooms, utility spaces, and work areas
-
Monitor building systems and report any irregularities or needed repairs
-
Assist skilled trades (plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians) with projects and repairs
-
Perform minor repairs such as replacing filters, bulbs, belts, and basic components
-
Handle general facility upkeep tasks including waste removal, material handling, and equipment setup
-
Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies
-
Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of supplies
-
Document completed tasks and update work orders as required
-
Respond to emergency situations or service calls as needed
Qualifications

Must have Valid Driver's License
-
1–3 years of maintenance, facilities, or utility-related experience preferred
-
Basic understanding of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)

Ability to use hand and power tools safely
-
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn multiple trades

Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team

Good communication and time management skills
