Driver's Education Instructor (Part-Time) Indypendence Job Corps Center | Indianapolis, IN

Are you passionate about road safety and helping young people gain the skills and confidence to drive safely? At Indypendence Job Corps, our Driver's Education Instructor teaches students safe driving skills through state-approved curriculum and hands-on, behind-the-wheel instruction — helping them earn their permits and licenses along the way!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Teach safe driving skills to students in accordance with state-approved curriculum

  • Conduct behind-the-wheel instruction to ensure student safety and compliance with local traffic laws

  • Plan, prepare, and implement instructional units, and administer and score tests

  • Coordinate students' progress toward earning driver's permits and licenses

  • Maintain a well-organized classroom conducive to student learning

  • Hold students accountable for following the Center's dress code and behavioral standards

  • Contribute positively to the Center's culture by treating students with care and respect, helping them feel safe and welcomed

WHAT YOU BRING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required); advanced degrees preferred

  • Certification to teach driving skills in the state, if applicable (required)

  • Valid in-state driver's license and ability to meet Company insurability requirements (required)

  • Previous driver's education experience (preferred)

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE High School diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. Must be certified to teach driving skills in the state (if applicable). Must possess a valid in-state Drivers License and meet the Company insurability requirements. Previous drivers education experience preferred.
