Full job description

In this role, the order picker retrieves product from the warehouse aisles, verifies the order quantity and item to accurately fulfill customers' orders. An order picker operates motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment meeting the company standards of safety, security, and productivity.

Shift: 2nd shift hours 3:00PM - 10:30PM Mon - Fri with opportunity for over-time

  • Efficiently picking orders, while using a Tugger (Powered Industrial Truck), and assembling product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and product ordered is packed and shipped free of damage.

  • Accurately and safely move, pick and pack orders using voice pick and/or radio frequency equipment

  • Maintain high standard of quality while picking and organizing product for shipment

  • Completing equipment inspections daily and documenting findings on touch-screen located on equipment.

  • Maintaining the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion ensuring that product can be efficiently picked.

  • Operates Jungheinrich material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner following the prescribed work methods

Required:

  • Able to work 2nd shift hours 3:00PM - 10:30PM Mon - Fri with opportunity for over-time

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

  • Ability to read and effectively communicate in English, count accurately, perform simple math, and write legibly

  • Must display a high level of accuracy, initiative and dependability with a good attendance record

  • Ability to pass OSHA approved Jungheinrich material handling equipment certification

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs consistently up to 50 lbs occasionally

  • Ability to tolerate exposure to modest amounts of heat, cold, dust, noise and vibrations

  • Ability to maintain a high level of frequency and intensity in other physical activities including, but not limited to reaching, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, stooping, kneeling and crouching

  • Ability to safely operate the following powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment: Tugger (TR)

Preferred:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1 Year + Relevant work experience in a warehouse setting

  • Familiarity with voice picking and/or radio frequency equipment is beneficial
