BETA Technologies is seeking a Supplier Development Specialist to support the Supplier Development organization. This role provides coordination, data management, and administrative support to Supplier Development Engineers (SDEs) and the Onboarding (A.R.C.) team. The Supplier Development Specialist ensures that supplier development activities are tracked, reported, and executed efficiently, enabling the technical team to focus on engineering solutions while maintaining visibility across all active supplier engagements. This role requires around 50% travel.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

  • Coordinate supplier site visits and development activities for Supplier Development Engineers

  • Support supplier improvement on site activities

  • Track action items from SDE engagements and ensure timely closure

  • Prepare meeting minutes and status reports from supplier development activities

  • Compile data and metrics for SDE analysis and improvement projects

  • Track corrective actions from QMS audits to closure

  • Coordinate conformity readiness and rate readiness improvement activities

  • Maintain the supplier development action item register

  • Schedule and facilitate supplier development meetings

  • Coordinate cross-functional support across Engineering, Quality, and Procurement teams

  • Manage supplier documentation requests and support supplier portal administration

  • Maintain supplier development dashboards and metrics

  • Prepare periodic status reports on onboarding, conformity, and rate readiness queue status

  • Support quarterly business reviews with supplier performance data

  • Assist with tracking supplier onboarding progress through the A.R.C. phases (QMS Audit, Conformity Readiness, Rate Readiness) Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two or four-year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field

  • Minimum of two-three years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or quality operations

  • Experience working in a manufacturing company, preferably one certified to ISO 9001 or SAE AS9100

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (spreadsheets, presentations, word processing)

  • Experience with data analysis, metrics tracking, and dashboard creation

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing action item registers

  • Experience using an online ERP system (e.g., Plex, SAP, or equivalent)

  • Ability to work independently while supporting a broader team in a fast-paced environment

  • This role requires around 50% travel Above and Beyond Qualifications:

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing or supplier quality environments

  • Familiarity with supplier audit processes and quality management systems (AS9100, AS9102)

  • Experience with supplier corrective action tracking and root cause analysis processes

  • Knowledge of production rate readiness assessments and capacity planning

  • Experience with project management tools and techniques

  • Familiarity with supplier development or supplier quality methodologies

  • APICS, ISM, or other supply chain certification is a plus

  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt certification a plus Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role. Compensation $85,000 — $115,000 USD Build electric airplanes with us!
