As a Senior Tax Manager specializing in Real Estate, you will serve as a strategic advisor to clients, leading complex tax engagements and driving innovative solutions. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, client relationship management, and business development.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex real estate tax compliance and consulting engagements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing proactive guidance on tax strategies and industry trends.

  • Mentor and develop team members through coaching, training, and performance feedback.

  • Collaborate across service lines to deliver integrated solutions for clients.

  • Drive business growth by identifying opportunities and participating in networking and industry events.

  • Utilize tax technology tools to enhance efficiency and client service.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

  • CPA required; MST or JD/LLM preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive tax experience, including public accounting.

  • Expertise in real estate and partnership taxation.

  • Proven leadership skills in managing client service teams and multiple projects in a fast-paced and interactive team environment.

  • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $151,000 to $226,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
