Field Welder

Join a family-owned steel contractor where skill, safety, and reliability are valued. We're looking for an experienced Field Welder to support commercial and industrial construction projects involving structural steel and miscellaneous metals.

Responsibilities

• Perform SMAW (stick) welding using 7018 rod.

• Install structural steel, bar joists, and metal decking.

• Install handrails, guardrails, stairs, mezzanines, and other miscellaneous metals.

• Assist with rigging, signaling, and steel erection activities.

• Operate aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and other jobsite equipment.

• Read blueprints and use common ironworker tools.

Qualifications

• Experience with structural steel welding and installation.

• Proficient in SMAW; FCAW experience preferred.

• Ability to read blueprints and work from drawings.

• D1.1 structural welding experience preferred.

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights.

• Reliable transportation.

Preferred

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

• Experience working with special inspectors.

Schedule

Monday-Friday | 6:00/6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the local area.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ramsey, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
