Senior Financial Analyst – R&D Controlling

Our Electrical Products business is investing in the next generation of products and solutions, and we are seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst – R&D Controlling to support our Research & Development organization.

This role offers the opportunity to partner directly with business leaders, engineering teams, and finance colleagues to drive strategic investments, improve financial transparency, and accelerate decision-making. If you are passionate about finance, technology, analytics, and innovation, we would love to hear from you.

This position is based in Peachtree Corners, GA, and requires onsite presence at least two days per week.

You'll Make an Impact By

  • Partnering with engineering and product management leaders to develop and monitor R&D budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans.

  • Analyzing R&D spending, resource utilization, project investments, and business case performance.

  • Supporting portfolio reviews and investment decisions for new product development initiatives.

  • Developing financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate innovation and growth opportunities.

  • Identifying risks and opportunities and proactively driving mitigation actions.

  • Driving transparency around product development costs, capitalization, and project economics.

  • Enhancing reporting and analytics through digitalization, automation, and AI-enabled forecasting solutions.

  • Building dashboards and visualizations using modern business intelligence tools.

  • Supporting monthly closing, forecasting, and management reporting activities.

  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across finance and R&D processes.

Your Success Is Grounded In

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, controlling, FP&A, or business finance.

  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.

  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Ability to influence decisions across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting R&D, engineering, product development, manufacturing, or technology organizations.

  • Experience with Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Tableau, or similar reporting tools.

  • Knowledge of project controlling, investment analysis, and capitalized development costs.

  • Exposure to AI, predictive analytics, or digital finance initiatives.

  • Experience within a global matrix organization.

  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
