Full job description
The Production Supervisor Mfg. role requires the following capabilities:
- Lead and supervise daily production operations to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, Work Instructions, and OSHA safety standards while fostering a safety-first culture
- Monitor production performance metrics (KPIs) including efficiency, scrap, downtime, and throughput
- Oversee equipment operation, maintenance coordination, and changeovers to minimize downtime
- Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve non-conformances and improve processes
- Train, coach, and develop operators, ensuring skill progression and adherence to best practices
- Maintain accurate production records, reporting, and documentation in line with company and audit requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, root cause analysis) to improve productivity and reduce waste
**Your Skills and Expertise **
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Winterthur Technologies requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or technical degree preferred)
- 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with production processes, SOPs, and quality systems
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and use production metrics for decision-making
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience in machining, grinding, or precision manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools
- Experience with ERP/MES systems and production reporting
- Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to improve processes
