Full job description

Your mission

At bliq.ai, we are building a real driverless vehicle from scratch: on public roads, with real safety requirements. We’re looking for an engineer who wants to help define and ship the next generation of autonomous driving. Because we own the full stack, from sensors to AI to vehicle actuation, you’ll have the freedom to explore and combine whatever approaches deliver the best real-world results: end-to-end models, hybrid AI/robotics architectures, learned planning, classical control, foundation models. We’re not locked into legacy thinking. We ship what works.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test, and ship our autonomous driving stack across perception, scene understanding, sensor fusion, localization, prediction, planning, and vehicle control
  • Develop and deploy AI models for real-world driving on embedded platforms (NVIDIA Jetson)
  • Integrate multi-sensor systems spanning cameras, radar, LiDAR, GNSS/IMU, and vehicle state
  • Connect software with real vehicles through CAN, drive-by-wire, and safety controllers
  • Build infrastructure for data collection, labeling, simulation, replay, and shadow mode testing
  • Debug problems at the intersection of AI, robotics, embedded systems, and vehicle hardware
  • Ship improvements into real vehicles every week

Your profile

Apply if this describes you:

  • Generalist engineer comfortable moving between ML, robotics, software engineering, and embedded systems
  • You’ve built real systems, not just prototypes or research demos. Any you have taken them from idea to deployment to field test
  • Strong background in one or more of: deep learning, computer vision, sensor fusion, planning and control, localization/SLAM, real-time systems, or GPU optimization
  • Experience with Python, C++, PyTorch, CUDA, TensorRT, ROS2, Linux, Docker, or GStreamer
  • You make good technical decisions with incomplete information and don’t need a perfect spec to get started
  • Experience with Autoware, NVIDIA tooling, or real vehicle deployment is a strong plus

Why us?

  • Build a real driverless vehicle from scratch. Your code goes into vehicles fast.
  • Help define the architecture, not just implement it
  • Work directly with the founders
  • No politics, no corporate layers, no endless meetings
  • Massive ownership from day one
  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity for exceptional people
  • Based in Berlin, building globally relevant technology
