ATI is currently seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer to join our facility located in Cudahy, WI. A successful Senior Facilities Engineer will provide design, drawings, verifications, instructions, and other data required for the manufacture, construction, operation, or erection of machines, tools, equipment, buildings, or facilities of any degree of complexity. Performs experimental, developmental, or shop follow up work on any type. Leads medium sized projects, of any type as the Project Manager. Works under general supervision only.

Makes design layouts utilizing the principles of complex stress analysis, mechanics, kinematics, machine and tool design, strength of materials, physics, mathematics, and other physical sciences to a high degree. Work from instruction, layouts, specifications, or any other requirements. Is responsible for accuracy, mathematical computations, and functional correctness of designs.

Makes complex assembly and complex detail drawings, prepares bills of material, specification sheets, procedures, instructions, or any other required technical data.

Studies new projects and investigates any questions concerning machinery, tools, processes, equipment, buildings, or facilities and recommend redesign, repair or rebuilding to overcome difficulties, correct improper function, or meet requirements.

Initiate action regarding methods or procedures in developmental or experimental work. Responsible for completion of assignments. Attend tryouts in shop regarding new methods of manufacture, jobs, or processes.

Work with other engineers, designers, and/or representatives of other departments on matters involving requirements or performance of tools, machines, equipment, buildings, or facilities.

Maintain job working records and prepare reports and correspondence.

Is expected to be able to direct technical work of a group or technicians, draftsmen, and/or Engineers.

Manages medium sized projects including design, tooling, purchasing, installation, and startup.

Performs other related duties and responsibilities.
