Description :-

AI Specialist (hybrid) to coordinate AI pilots, strengthen governance, and support responsible AI adoption across County departments. This six-month role (with possibility of extension) combines strategic oversight with hands-on program support.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate AI pilots, establish success criteria, and track outcomes.

  • Maintain and mature the AI governance framework in partnership with cybersecurity and other stakeholders.

  • Maintain a Countywide inventory of AI tools, vendors, pilots, and use cases.

  • Manage access, licensing, token consumption, and costs for enterprise AI platforms.

  • Coordinate AI vendors, deliverables, demonstrations, and issue resolution.

  • Lead AI Communities of Practice and departmental AI champions.

  • Coordinate onboarding, training, guidance, and support for AI users.

  • Help departments identify high-value AI opportunities and share successful practices.

  • Track adoption, costs, business value, and measurable efficiency gains.

  • Develop executive dashboards and provide updates to County leadership.

Desired Qualifications:-

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years managing technology initiatives or enterprise software projects.

  • Experience with generative AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or Claude.

  • Understanding of AI governance, privacy, cybersecurity, and responsible AI.

  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Public-sector experience preferred.

Preferred Skills:-

AI governance; licensing and vendor management; change management; training and facilitation; Agile/PMP.
