Software Product Manager Description - Job Summary

  • This role is responsible for participating delivery of valuable software solutions that meet user needs, drive business objectives, and stay aligned with the company's vision. The role translates user needs and market trends into well-defined product requirements. The role monitors and analyzes key product metrics and user feedback to iterate on the product and enhance user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Follows standard procedures to assist in the development and implementation of product design.
  • Supports in the development of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for assigned software products or features.
  • Defines and measures key product metrics, using data-driven insights to continuously improve the product's performance and user experience.
  • Begins to understand the consequences of product issues in relation to performance, customer acceptance, customer risk, compliance, and manufacturability.
  • Engages in research, development, and deployment of software solutions, showcasing hands-on experience.
  • Documents detailed requirements for the engineering team for effective product implementation.
  • Acts as the voice of the customer, advocating for user needs and ensuring that the product meets or exceeds their expectations.
  • Follows a standard checklist to ensure compliance with internal quality requirements.
  • Learns to understand the overall market, competitors, and open source technologies.
  • Stays up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software product management.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in product management, digital or software product development, or a related field.
