Full job description

As an Industrial Facilities Maintenance Technician here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation and safety of our physical facilities. You will play a key role in maintaining industrial fabrication equipment, systems, and infrastructure to support the overall efficiency and functionality of our operations.

You will report directly to our Maintenance Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Palmetto, FL location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the reliability and safety of our facilities, contributing to a productive and secure work environment for all employees and visitors. Your hands-on expertise will help minimize downtime and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Day Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm / Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

  • Assist in maintaining facility safety and compliance by adhering to regulatory guidelines and company policies.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment maintenance.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair facility industrial machinery efficiently to minimize downtime.

  • Experience with safety and regulatory compliance in facility operations.

  • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment used in facilities upkeep.

WE VALUE

  • Associate’s degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, HVAC, or related field.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing, commercial trade or industrial environment.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet maintenance goals.

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Basic knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
