Are you looking for a position with a flexible schedule and competitive hourly wages? Waterford Public Schools is currently hiring Substitute Health Aides . Sub Health Aides will provide coverage as needed in both Waterford and East Lyme as coordinated by the Supervisor of District Health Services.
Waterford Public Schools serves approximately 2,400 students in grades PK-12. Our district is actively seeking to recruit qualified applicants from a diversity of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences so as to promote a diverse applicant pool for administrative, faculty, and staff positions to better serve our students’ multiple identities and to bring a broader range of experiences into our district to continue to enhance the teaching and learning for ALL. Qualifications
DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other Duties as Assigned):

Assist the School Nurse with the assessment of children, perform routine medical care and support care related to children’s hygiene.

Assist the School Nurse with the maintenance of student records.

Provide emergency treatment when necessary and follow established emergency medical procedures under the direction of the School Nurse.

Participate in meetings, when asked by the School Nurse, which may include Team Meetings, Planning and Placement Team Meetings, Parent Conferences, Faculty Meetings and other meetings as directed.

Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of all medical equipment.

Lift students when necessary, at the request of the School Nurse.

Perform other related duties as requested.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
High school diploma and experience working with children. Experience as a health aide preferred. First aid/CPR training required. Knowledge of computers including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Hourly Wage: $20.20
