Full job description

Our client, Chelsea Milling Company - JIFFY, is seeking Packaging and Mixing Operators to join their team. Most openings are on 3rd shift. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, teamwork, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Packaging and Mixing Operators

Location: Chelsea, MI

Pay Range: P ay is $18.30 per hour.

Shift: Monday through Friday: 2nd shift is 3pm-11pm; and 3rd shift is 11pm-7am.

What's the Job?

  • Mix batches of products ensuring the correct ingredients and quantities are used according to recipe specifications.

  • Operate control panels and scales accurately to feed ingredients into the mixer.

  • Monitor ingredient quality and report any contamination or non-conforming products immediately.

  • Operate and monitor all packaging equipment including boxmaker, filler, checkweigher, top sealer, and baler to ensure efficient production.

  • Maintain product quality by inspecting shells, cartons, and printed labels for accuracy and proper quality standards.

  • Load, adjust, and maintain packaging machinery to optimize output and ensure safety compliance.

What's Needed?

  • Ability to follow safety protocols and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

  • Willingness to learn and train others on job duties.

  • Basic understanding of operating packaging machinery is preferred but not required.

  • Job requires a drug test (Oral - 10 Panel) and a criminal background check (Enhanced Nationwide Search).
