This position exists to be a primary liaison with MINNCOR Industries' dealers, vendors and customers by coordinating activities related to manufacturing, sales, logistics and inventory of its product lines. This position will administer, set pricing and disburse orders, arrange shipments as necessary, oversee quality control and control product line raw material and finished goods inventories. Supplies technical expertise to MINNCOR and its markets in the production upgrading, transportation, repair and maintenance of its product lines. Hire, train and supervise an offender work force to support all the above functions.

This position is located at the Minnesota Correctional Facility-Moose Lake and has direct contact with Incarcerated Persons.

Minimum Qualifications

To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all of the minimum qualifications listed below. Only applicants whose application materials clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position. Ensure that your resume contains descriptions of your work experiences sufficient for comparison against the requirements stated below and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing setting coordinating multiple areas associated with manufacturing including customer relations, production, sales and product transportation.

  • Experience analyzing and maintaining inventory levels to ensure adequate inventory to enable shipment to go out as ordered.

  • Experience overseeing quality control of manufactured products to ensure that all products are ready at the time promised for delivery.

Applicants meeting the above qualifications will be further assessed on the following:

  • Basic personal computer skills including e-mail software skills.

  • Customer service skills to effectively and diplomatically deal with customer complaints and inquiries and to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to train and direct the work of others.

  • Ability to prioritize work load to ensure product is ready at time promised.

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are strongly desired of applicants seeking consideration for this position:

  • Knowledge of MINNCOR's product lines.

  • Experience in direct sales and customer service in a manufacturing setting.

  • Experience with material handling equipment sufficient to operate a forklift.

  • Experience supervising incarcerated offenders.

  • Experience directing logistical supply of raw materials to the factory for production.

  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Microsoft AX, and/or Excel.

  • Experience in print estimating.

  • Experience in prepress file design.

  • Experience in bindery operations.

Physical Requirements

Additional Requirements

The selection process may include screening the top candidate(s) on their criminal history, predatory offender registration, offender associations and/or other applicable background information in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. Top candidate(s) must pass a criminal history check which includes successful completion of all sentencing and/or restitution requirements of law enforcement jurisdictions, including probation.

Employment history/reference checks, including incidents of sexual harassment, will also be conducted on the top candidate(s) in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. This may include a review of job performance and discipline records.

New employees will be fingerprinted within the first 30 days of employment.
