As a Security Officer Unarmed in Sulphur, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and remain visible to help deter incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in the job state. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.

• Monitor entry and exit points; verify identification, credentials, and authorization; and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.

• Control access to restricted areas in accordance with established site procedures, including issuing and recovering visitor badges and directing guests to appropriate check-in locations.

• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly report observations through required channels.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding areas, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity and potential security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.

• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience is required.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
