HealthPartners is hiring a Registered Dietitian, Outpatient. The Registered Dietitian provides systematic dietetic care in outpatient clinic, assessing, diagnosing, intervening, monitoring and evaluating nutrition needs while maintaining patient confidentiality, resolving concerns, and supporting multiple clinic areas. They demonstrate strong critical thinking, multitasking, and effective oral and written communication, and travel between sites as needed.

Important skills include Interpersonal Skill, Adaptability, Maintaining Patient Confidentiality, Protecting Patient Rights, Critical Thinking Skills, and Ability To Multi-Task. Preferred (not required): Motivational Interviewing, Health Coaching Skills, Curriculum Development, and Educational Material Development.

Full job description

Job Duties

Utilizes a systematic approach to dietetic practice incorporating assessment, nutrition diagnosis, intervention, monitoring and evaluation in accordance with Dietetic Standards of Practice, along with recognized professional standards, as well as HealthPartners and employer specific protocols and policy.

Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights. Resolves concerns or complaints regarding patient care or service.

Location: Amery

Work Schedule: .6 FTE; 24 hours weekly, M, T, Th Daytime

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Nutrition and/or Dietetics from an accredited college or university

Completed an accredited internship, traineeship, CUP program or other acceptable route to AND registration status

Dietetic registration (RDN) through Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

Current Dietetic License for either the state of Minnesota or Wisconsin upon hire. Must provide proof of license application in alternate state prior to start and obtain the second license within 90 days of hire. Both Minnesota and Wisconsin license must be maintained.

Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development necessary to provide appropriate nutrition care to the patient population served and ensure nutritional safety of patients

Possesses the qualities of strong critical thinking skills and ability to multi-task

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to travel between clinic sites

Familiar with presenting to groups

Preferred Qualifications:

2-4 years experience in clinical dietetics

Skilled in Motivational Interviewing

Health Coaching skills

NBC-HWC (national board-certified health and wellness coach)

Curriculum development

Educational material development

Public speaking

Experience in EMR (EPIC) use

Bilingual or multilingual
